Pink Wednesday
Happy Pink Wednesday! This week, I am wearing OPI's The One That Got Away, from the Katy Perry collection. This is a deep shade of pink that reminds me of the color of sangria. Since I have been wearing light colors on my tips and toes lately, I chose this shade of pink because I was craving something darker.
For a little glitter effect, I layered Milani's Jewel FX polish, in Hot Pink, over the OPI shade on my ring finger. This Milani polish is so pretty. However, I don't think I showcased it in the best way. I feel that this Hot Pink glitter would better stand out if layered over a lighter shade. The two polishes are too similar in color.
Just one final note, excuse my paint job this week. I was in a bit of a rush to get my nails done and this dark polish was very unforgiving of mistakes! A good tip that I could offer you is that if you are in a rush to go out, but want to paint your nails, use a lighter color. Mistakes made with a lighter polish are much less noticeable than with a dark color. Thanks so much for reading. Hope you have a fabulous day!

Happy Pink Wednesday!
Good morning and Happy Pink Wednesday! Since we have had a taste of Summer here in New England this week, I am wearing one of my favorite shades of pink...OPI's La Paz-itively Hot! La Paz is an electric shade of pink that is a cross between a fuchsia and a purple. To add a party nail accent to this look, I chose China Glaze's Broken Hearted, which is their pink crackle. Broken Hearted is layered over OPI's Alpine Snow.
I adore this look. I think that the color is fun, and feels so appropriate on an 86 degree day in April! I hope you like this look as much as I do. Thanks so much for reading and have a fabulous day!

Long Time No Post
Happy Monday everyone! I hope that you are having a great day. I just wanted to take some time to apologize to you for the inconsistency in my blogging. As you may know, my beautiful daughter Julianne was born two months ago today. While these two months have gone by very quickly, they have been quite time consuming. Julianne has colic and that has been quite a challenge. I guess I expected her to be just like my son ...a happy, mellow baby. However I quickly learned that every child is different!
Julianne started crying more than usual at about 2 1/2 weeks old and it just escalated from there. While her "witching hour" was nightly from 6pm to 10pm, there were days that she cried for up to 8 hours. It was concerning to me as her mom, because I couldn't figure out why she was so upset. She was fed, changed, and dry. My husband and I tried numerous methods to soothe her and everything would work for a short period of time. Our only tried and true soothing methods were car rides and strapping her in her car seat and having her sit on our dryer.
After a trip to the Pediatrician and in talking to other moms, I realized that luckily, there was nothing medically wrong with my daughter, and it was something that would pass with time. In short, I was so exhausted from the crying and taking care of my 2-year old, that I didn't have time for my blog. Luckily, Julianne's colic has started to subside so I will be able to blog more! I have truly missed writing about the things I enjoy...polishes, products, pampering, and most importantly, being a Mom.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post. I look forward to posting more regularly now that things in our home have settled down a bit. Have a great day!
